New carrier Norse Atlantic selects Kales for cargo services
Soon to be launched Norse Atlantic Airways has selected Kales Group as its GSSA as part of total cargo management (TCM) deal that will see the carrier outsource all cargo-related activities.
Since May 1, Kales has been performing all sales, administrative and operational activities, including the use its booking systems, making it the de facto cargo department of Norse.
The deal will also see Kales partner with the HAE Group, which will handle all activities from the US.
The carrier plans to carry out its first flight on June 14 between Oslo and New York JFK. The carrier operates B787 Dreamliners and other planned destinations include Florida, Paris and London.
Sebastiaan Scholte, chief executive of Kales Group, said: “It is an honour to be able to set up the whole cargo department from scratch. We are thrilled to be part of the start of such a promising airline as Norse and we look forward to contribute to their future growth and success.”
Andrew Hodges, chief commercial officer at Norse Atlantic Airways, added: “Cargo is an important part of the Norse Atlantic Airways business model and we intend to focus on opportunities within this sector as we continue to grow our international route network.”
The airline is headquartered in Arendal, Norway and holds a Norwegian AOC (air operator’s certificate).

Kales Airlines Services donates and transports medical relief goods to the Ukraine in collaboration with the Red Cross
Kales Group has bought 2 truckloads full with medical relief goods that have been delivered to the Polish Red Cross on March 31. The goods will be transported to the affected people in Ukraine.
“We are honoured to be able to help the people in need due to this horrendous situation which has already resulted in the displacement of more than 6 million Ukrainians, both nationally as internationally. The terrible reality of the war in Ukraine is that the needs are growing every day. It is great to see that not only our company but so many other companies and individuals in the world are helping with donations and relief goods”, says Sebastiaan Scholte, CEO of Kales Group. I want to thank our management in Poland under the leadership of Sebastian Kraucki for arranging these transports. Our thoughts are with all the innocent people who are affected.
Mrs. Honorata Krzywoń, Managing Director of Polish Red Cross Mazovian district said she is grateful to the Kales Group for organizing such specific humanitarian aid and deliveries to their central warehouse, from which they will get in a Red Cross convoy directly to parts of Ukraine. The first truck with goods received from Kales Group has been already delivered to Lviv .
“I’m very proud we could find such high demanded medical and sanitary equipment which will save many lives of the innocent people of Ukraine. The trucks will deliver professional disposable items used for surgeries and hospitalisation like sterile medical aprons, pads, covers, wraps and dressings” said Sebastian Kraucki, Managing Director for Kales in Poland.

E-commerce is driving air cargo flows
Kales Airline Services has been chosen as the dedicated GSSA for Venipak’s new weekly Hong Kong – Latvia Boeing services on B737 freighter flights. Last week’s launch of the Riga-Hong Kong freighter has proven to be a huge success for e-commerce giant Venipak. Flights are currently weekly but are expected to double in mid-October. Kales is representing the sales on these flights in most of Europe and Hong Kong.
